Shayla Van Hofwegen
Founder, Owl Love You Forever
Shayla Van Hofwegen founded Owl Love You Forever after experiencing years of infertility, multiple miscarriages and the painful loss of twin babies. Striving to find meaning in all of the grief, Shayla turned to God and started changing her outlook on life. She began giving purpose to her pain and reaching out to other women who suffer from infertility or infant loss. She started writing down her thoughts and life experiences in a blog, entitled Wegen Tales. She hopes to inspire and support others who find themselves struggling with infertility or infant loss. Hearing of so many women who lose their baby before, during, or shortly after giving birth; Shayla decided to try and change the hospital experience for these families. Although families may only have a limited amount of time with their baby, there are ways to make it more meaningful and memorable. Owl Love You Forever provides boxes with special items, including a soft stuffed owl, a matching set of blankets, disposable cameras, and other items to help fill their aching arms. You can find more information at www.owlloveyouforever.org.
